The Journey of Six Weeks...

...begins with a first clone.

After what seemed like a long onboarding and sorting boot campers into teams, the Side Hustle 5.0 cohort Boot camp finally began on Monday, June 6th, with a task to choose and build a frontend clone for a landing page, sign up and register page. We were given 5 website options to choose from, and without further ado, "portfolio-frontend-react-team-1" members swung into action with a meeting on Google Meet to select a team lead, decide on a website to clone and also assign tasks to members.

Here's a formal report of how the team collaborated to clone the Barter website as put together by the Team Lead.

CONCLUSION

Our journey so far has been like that of a group of sailors in a submarine with little or no food, charting the vast unknown. In order for us to achieve our set out objectives, we had to build our relationship with one another on three core values - Trust, Teamwork and diligence; values I am happy my team holds dear.

As they say, “a chain is only as weak as its weakest link.” Well, that saying is only true if we don’t try to turn our weaknesses into strengths. As Iyanla Vanzant would say, “The way to achieve your own success is to be willing to help someone else get it first.” As the team Lead of this group, I’m proud to say we all cherish that saying in the team.

Never forget the words of Helen Keller that says, “alone we can do little, together we can do so much.” That has been our success story.

I leave you with the words of Howard Schultz, “Success is best when shared.” Don't forget, Team work, Trust and diligence is all it takes. Till we meet again on the next task. Bye!
